Settings

The Settings page is where you manage your profile, security, individuals and the destructive data operations. This guide walks through every section.

Profile

Profile

The Profile card lets you update your display name and the email address associated with your account.

Using an email already registered on another account is rejected.

Changing your password

Changing your password

The Password card lets you set a new password. You provide:

  • Your current password
  • A new password of at least 8 characters
  • A confirmation of the new password
Accounts that were created with a social provider (for example Google or GitHub) only have no password set, and cannot use this form.

Individuals

Individuals

The Individuals card lists every individual on your account with its genome and cancer candidate counts, and lets you delete them.

The Danger Zone

The Danger Zone

The bottom section of the Settings page contains destructive actions that affect your whole account:

  • Delete all cancer candidates - removes every cancer candidate on your account
  • Delete all genomes - removes every genome together with its reads, alignments, comments and cancer candidates
  • Delete account - cancels any subscription, deletes all of your data and removes the account
Every action in the Danger Zone is permanent and cannot be undone except by starting over. The most destructive actions ask for confirmation.
